Not surprising since she seems like a very competent public manager.

But obviously why vote Yang in order to maybe get Garcia running the City when you could simply vote for Garcia for mayor?

Because you can do both! The goal here isn't to peel off Garcia #1 or #2 voters, it's to get them to put Yang above Adams for #4 or #5.

With instant runoff and how few front-runners their seems to be (At the moment), being someones first or second choice isn't nearly as important as not being their last or second-to-last choice

That's a fair point.

Stringer, can you just give up and endorse Yang already? You don't need to embarrass yourself any longer.

This actually doesn't look great for Yang, especially in his own internal?

This is mostly before the scandal, but we can see Stringer was then surging. I expect a collapse to single digits when new polls emerge.

There's also the thought that Stringer still has a decent floor, but lost almost all potential transfers.

Donovan isn't competitive at all? He seems like one of the best for governing there.

His dad has spent around $3 million to run ads about him working for / being close to Obama. It doesn't seem to be doing much so far but maybe he'll benefit a bit from a Stringer implosion.

Donovan's ads basically say that he worked for Obama, and say nothing of substance - he was in my top 5 but even I found his campaign mindless.

He also has a scandal where his father is running a large PAC for him, though I'm not sure how much this is really hurting him. Since the campaign finance board determined that his father's PAC was not coordinated with his campaign, he was still eligible for NYC's very generous matching funds.

https://theintercept.com/2021/05/04/nyc-mayor-scott-stringer-jean-kim/

Accusations against Stringer starting to unravel.

It looks like my initial skepticism may be vindicated.

I am back to supporting Stringer for a high pref.

Thank God I won't be living in NYC for the next four years. I mean, I love this city, but if it's gonna Adams or Yang. Good god.

Eric Adams literally wants to end summer vacation and establish online school with 300-400 kids to a teacher.

Adams is leading now....

My family likes Adams, some of them live in NYC...they think he can bring the LI cops and communities together.....

Adams is a contender, I've been telling y'all for weeks now, people should not downplay him because he is a cop....well who cares? He's not a Frank Rizzo type, but NYC is seeing a crime surge and a Black cop turned mayor could be what is needed to turn the city around

He's going to anger the DSA/Defund the Police crowd, he said since in 2018 that he would "outwhite and outcop Scott Stringer in Bay Ridge/Glendale/Staten Island......

If it is Adams vs. Sliwa, Adams could carry Staten Island, but by 1-3 points....Sliwa will paint Adams as a Black man, Staten Island, especially the South Shore will probably sour at that, but South Shore Democrats will probably go for Yang or Adams in the primary......

I’ve said this a few times before but he’s just toxic, he defends abusers, anti-semites and picks racist fights for no reason (Herman Badillo), his policies are wack (like the aforementioned 300 students debacle). Honest to god I dislike Bloomberg, Schultz as much as any democrat but if Bloomberg ran against Adams I’d probably vote for them

So? A lot of people change their political views.....this is not something new....a lot of older Black people like Adams and a lot of moderate white ethnic voters in Staten Island and Brooklyn don't trust Yang....can Yang handle crime and can he handle the NYPD's union goons Lynch and Mullins?
