This is is interesting

The 538 blog pointed out that Most of the night, Twitter sentiment toward Biden was more negative than positive. But during Pence’s remarks, sentiment toward Biden has rebounded back into neutral territory. Meanwhile, as Pence has generated volume, sentiment around him has worsened.

Pence speech is a flop
ah yes the echo chambers of twitter are a reliable representation of the American people

I dont see why some are so willing to dismiss it
Im not saying that twitter is a representation of the America

But I do think that it is notable that Biden was basically getting negative reaction all night right up until Pence started giving his speech....

that did not happen with any other speaker tonight

Hypocrisy is on display. Trace Adkins is singing the national anthem after several speakers have attacked the DNC for having celebrities present. Couldn't they have found some random church choir director from the heartland to sing the song?
You'd attack him for having "a nobody" sing the anthem. You attack Trump no matter what.
It really doesn't matter who sang the song. The problem is the hypocrisy.

The only reason they pretend to hate celebrities is because they criticize Trump. Their a bunch of thin skinned losers who just want to be accepted. It’s sad really

Sometimes it feels like we've all agreed we're just going to squeaky slide into the 8 point Biden win. No one on the Dem side takes any risks, no one on the GOP side even attempts to change the message ... just every day the same as we march to november. It's half the reason the threads suck as there's not much to say really. Big crisis happen. Leader mess up. Leader's party cover their ass during convention. Leader probably not have job anymore regardless.

Like do the blue avis really like how this is going? Just two thumbs up for the programming, smiles and waves? Do you not actually want to enact any of this by, I don't know, winning on some off chance?

Make America Great Again was a great slogan. Props to Trump for that.

Make America Great Again Again is cringeworthy painful.

The DNC had the Currys and their adorable kids and the RNC had... Lou Holtz. LOL

The RNC on Thursday could be altered or cancelled due to Hurricane Laura.

Trump blathering from the Oval Office about Confederate statues, the best economy in history, and mean lefties on Twitter while his supporters in southwestern Louisiana are picking through the rubble of their houses wouldn't be a good look. (Of course it would never make them consider voting for someone else either.)

Why should they, over a natural disaster Trump nor any President has any control over?

This whole convention has been fantastic.

Blasting the warmongering elite. Fking love it
I freaking love the new GOP.

If the new GOP hates warmongering, then why does our fat bloated military keep getting absurd budget increases?
Has that budget been used to launch a massive (and unjustified) invasion of Iraq? No? What about the wars with Iran and North Korea? What ever happened to that? Just because he's stupidly expanding our military doesn't mean he intends to use it. In fact, Trump has repeatedly shown extreme restraint on the global stage.

Spending more money on the military when you don't intend to have a military conflict is basically just wasting money.

I thought Trump was a brilliant, efficient businessman and Republicans were fiscally conservative.

Bush abandoned Louisiana after Katrina. Trump abandoned Puerto Rico after Maria.

Barack Obama rose to the occasion after Sandy.

Democrats competently manage natural disasters; Republicans do not.

Laura is a very nasty woman for threatening to disrupt Trump's big good speech to America.

Then why are we still in Afghanistan if Trump is "anti war"?

The deep state won't let him leave of course, it's not like anything is actually Trump's fault.

I can't wait for tonight's overlong Quaalude teleprompter speech filled with abstruse Stephen Miller imagery, followed by the declarations that he successfully pivoted to a new tone.

Yep. I'm expecting him to bring the crazy, but I would not be surprised if he slurred through another teleprompter speech without yelling and people applauding him for it.
