CARLHAYDEN's latest rant on "the liberals" seemed a few yards off the pier, so I'll be going with Mitty.

Who of the two is economically center-left? I doubt it's Mitty so where does Carl stand?

Carl's platform is a combination of "I hate Dean Logan", "I hate the media", and "I hate liberals"; not much more is known.

I remember someone asking Carl if there was actually anything on which he agreed with the Democratic Party

Hmm.

Nym,

Ah, but you fail to comprehend the nature of equality.

Consider the examples of the current Pope, and Charles Manson.

Should they be treated exactly the same.

I would say No, that they should be evaluated upon their conduct, and Manson's conduct merits imprisonment for life.

Now, central difference is that intimate relations between homosexuals cannot result in issue (children),

So, facts merit different treatment.

So we should give infertile, heterosexual couples different treatment too, right?  Facts meriting different treatment and all.

Yes.

Er, WalterMitty thinks that populism is the worst political philosophy ever.

Well, Carl don't like liberals and Mitty don't like populists and I'm a moderate liberal populist, so I vote write-in Grin

The more it seems as if the only reason why CARLHAYDEN is a Democrat is because John McCain isn't

im willing to wager carl was a liberal in his youth.  i bet he just kept getting more conservative (and cynical) with every year until he has gotten to where he is now.

that isnt an unusual thing.  actually, it sounds a lot like my dad.

im willing to wager carl was a liberal in his youth.

I find that unlikely, because then one could reasonably expect him to have at least a basic understanding of the motivation behind most liberals' political stances.
