The first undisputed Queen Regnant of England, Mary Tudor was a groundbreaking feminist. However, some of her actions, such as the burning of nearly 300 Protestants, has been a point of contention, with some decrying it as mass murder.

What is your assessment of this inspirational, possibly contentious, monarch?

Bad. I do find it ironic how the most and least religiously tolerant monarchs of Early Modern England were both Catholics, and the only ones since the Reformation.

Terrible, but only massacred a fraction of the amount her father and brother did. Obviously gross sexism plays into her where her reputation is in comparison to theirs.

Really? I highly doubt Edward VI killed more than her. According to Wikipedia’s list of Catholic and Protestant martyrs during the English Reformation, 0 Catholics were executed for their faith under Edward and only 2 Protestants, while as the OP says it was some 300 Protestants burned under Bloody Mary. Is it that you’re counting foreign wars when calculating the victims of Edward? If so, then the Rough Wooing was certainly a bloody affair that might explain why Edward killed more according to you.
