He put out a deranged video with all his junk conspiracies. He says it's the most important speech he's ever given. There's a link to the 40 minute version in the tweet. I'm not bothering to watch but there.

This dude is such a crybaby. Still laugh at people who say he's a "strong leader"

Now Michael Flynn has called for a (real) coup. I wonder if Trump has already tried to get military support for such a move and was told to pound sand.

Quote
With a fresh presidential pardon still warm, former national security advisor Michael Flynn has called on Donald Trump to suspend the constitution and declare martial law for the military to run a new election.

I don't think there can be any doubt that Trump has tried to get military support for this. Why else woud he be hiring goon after goon for top pentagon positions?

This conduct is utterly unacceptable in a democracy. I don't know enough of the relevant law to know if it's technically criminal or not, but it - like #DiaperDon'sravings - should be swiftly met with universal condemnation. Democrats continuing to politely push back while Republicans are mostly silent is inadequate. Our democracy is sick, and our Republic is in danger.

Honestly, I would be surprised if the past month has been the first time in his administration that that has happened.

It would be true justice if Trump, in pure desperation, issues a formal order to the Army to impose martial law and arrest Biden and Dem members of Congress, except the Army remembers that they swore an oath to defend the Constitution and arrest Trump instead. That's a coup we could all get behind.

You know your argument is crap when even the Wisconsin State Supreme Court won't hear your case.

This court basically has 3 Justice Alitos, 3 Justice Sotomayors and one Justice Roberts.  The election in April that flipped a seat R->D was almost surely decisive for the outcome of this case.

I'm not sure if it wouldn't have mattered for the outcome, maybe it would, but the case would have definitely have been heard.

Isn't Hagedorn almost a Nega-Roberts in that he's a dyed-in-the-wool socon but swingy on other issues whereas Roberts is swingy on culture war issues but a fairly run-of-the-mill conservative judge otherwise?

Isn't Hagedorn almost a Nega-Roberts in that he's a dyed-in-the-wool socon but gives moderate-to-moderately-liberal rulings on other issues whereas Roberts is swingy-to-liberal on culture war issues but a fairly run-of-the-mill conservative judge otherwise?

Yeah, Hagedorn is very much against the illiberalism of the Republican Party and the other three judges on the court. So far appears to give legitimate credence to precedent. It does appear that he may vote to overturn the mask mandate, which would be bad, but I have a good feeling he would be against the Republicans gerrymandering the state via resolution.

And with that goes the only credible lawsuit Trump had.

Must sting even more for it to be 4-3, gotta love it.

It's like these court challenges never end. You'd think courts would have a system in place to prevent similar cases from being heard multiple times.

What exactly happens if Trump keeps filing lawsuits past December 8? Do the ascertainments of electors still fall under safe harbor as long as they're not rescinded?
