For whoever was dooming about Pennsylvania:

So is certification still blocked or . . .

Certification was only ever "blocked" (a concept whose meaning was unclear given that certification had already happened) for a matter of a few hours about midday Wednesday between the Magajudge handing down her nutty order and Shapiro appealing it to the PASC. So no.

Rudy's promised appeal of the other case to SCOTUS is marginally more worthy of concern, but only very marginally given that 1. it's been laughed out of court by every single judge it's come before and 2. every one of those judges so far has been a Federalist Society Republican.

And 3. Even if the SCOTUS rules in Trump's favor that would only allow his legal team to resubmit the case to a different judge.

Ah. “Pay no attention to all those other cases that got laughed out of court. This next one is the real one that will prove all the voter fraud. It’s definitely a real thing that’s happening... oh, any day now.” Amazing that people are still falling for this grift.

They would have real attorneys on this if they were serious, not these morons. Even then they don't have any case or claims.

The judge who wrote the opinion was appointed by Trump himself. And the other two were appointed by George W. Bush.

Is anyone on this moronic legal team even admitted to argue before the Supreme Court?  It's not like every lawyer is eligible.

"An attorney wishing to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States must apply to do so, must be admitted to the bar of the highest court of a state for three years, must be sponsored by two attorneys already admitted to the Supreme Court bar, must pay a fee and must take either a spoken or written oath."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Admission_to_the_bar_in_the_United_States

I wouldn't expect them to know this though, given that they're idiots.  Would be hilarious if they can't even find a lawyer to take the case.

Another good point. This is like if Lionel Hutz managed a campaign legal team.

Judge Brann: Do you have any evidence at all?
Rudy: Well, we have plenty of hearsay and conjecture. Those are kinds of evidence.

A view from over the pond. The USA is presenting itself as a failing democracy, a banana republic where power-crazed politicians  are incapable of accepting anything other than victory. The US voting system is as good as it gets under any democracy. Of course, there will be irregularities in any system, and there will be human errors from time to time, but the charges of wholesale fraud against the American people are ridiculous. Hundreds of thousands of politicians and election official staff involved in a criminal conspiracy against the country without any evidence? Preposterous.
The most perplexing, and disappointing, aspect to the outside observer, is the sheer gutlessness of the Republican Senators for cowering down under Trump's bullying and failing to condemn baseless fraud accusations. Sometimes, the course of life doesn't go as we might personally prefer, in which case we just  have to get on with things and accept what the majority of the population decide.
The current trajectory of the USA suggests a break-up, with some States starting to secede from what has become a hate-infested union. A re-run of the Soviet Union. Ultimately, that might be best for both the US people and the rest of the world.

You're preaching to the choir, my bloke.

True, but Brits have no ground to stand on given that just last year they reelected an incompetent blowhard who attempted to illegally shut down parliament and attacked the courts when they stopped him.

A very fair point, but we don't necessarily know that this particular poster is one of those who supports the "Britain First" agenda.

I mean, if as a Brit you're going to attack America collectively for the farce that's unfolding here, then you expose yourself to collective attacks on Britain as well even if you're not a BoJo supporter yourself.

I on the other hand can attack both. Grin Italian democracy is still doing pretty well for itself, although I'm fully aware that that's liable to change after 2023.

France has been basically an elective dictatorship since 1958, but within that framework (and as much as I hate his guts), FBM hasn't really done anything to violate existing rules/norms of government.

Yes it does work that way. People sick and tired of Trump's chaos and incompetence and also fearful of the radical left. They voted Biden for President and Republican for Congress to keep the Democrats hamstrung.

Of course acknowledging this is beyond Trump's mental capacity because he cannot contemplate his own failings and mistakes.

Trump is still going on about Detroit (which is not coextensive with Wayne County) and Philadelphia, which in any case swung towards him. The ingratitude.

Mitchell's also representing a district just north of Detroit which might explain why he's so pissed over Trump's allegations.
