FunFact: The University of Akron's mascot "Zippy" is one of only eight female collegiate mascots nationwide ♀️♀️

--

Back on topic, though, +4% Biden would be at the maximum edge of a win for him in Ohio IMO.

This margin gives me real 2016 teas. Not to mention the long time between dates is a little ridiculous

Another fun fact Akron is the rubber capital of the world, and Zippy is a kangaroo. I learned both of these facts from NCAA Football 14.

I got into Akron Law. Don’t ask me why I didn’t go. I mean, if anything, if I really wanted to be a lawyer, I should have gotten my CS degree first and then a degree from there would have made more sense. Akron is a patent school.

I'm not convinced Ohio is really "lean Republican" any more. It makes sense that a popular Democrat could take back IA/OH in a Midwest sweep, especially given the terrible economy.

Ohio has become more partisan, but there's a reason why it has been THE Ohio Sta-I mean bellwether state across the last five decades.

Biden, Buttigieg and Bernie did well in Iowa in the primary. Warren, Hillary and Harris performance in Iowa were terrible. IA is very much like OH, that's why all three would win OH in a Covid 19 environment, not in a 3.5 percent environment

Biden did really badly in Iowa and Harris dropped out months before the caucus.

My point was Hillary was more damaging to Ds at the top of the ticket in WC states like MN, WI, IA and OH, due to a 3.5 percent unemployment rate and Strickland scandal and Hillary email scandals. Warren and Harris performed just as badly. Biden being at the top of ticket doesnt hurt Greenfield or our females in D Comgressional seats

I'm still not sold on Ohio. The poll may be right with regard to Joe Biden at 46%. He will improve significantly on Hillary's disastrous showing here, but it probably won't be enough to win.

It doesn't convince me that Biden will certainly win here, but it's good that he may be keeping it competitive. Especially considering the possibility that Iowa and Ohio were written off fairly early back in 2016, with hindsight, being a sign of what was to come.

Devastating. Just devastating.

State officials, including the Republican Governor, handled COVID-19 well... but that's not going to help the President because he suggested the opposite.
