That is what Oregon does and that’s what the rule for all mail in ballots imo should be . It should only be considered valid if received by Election Day not postmarked .

How California conducts it is a disgrace but the way Oregon conducts it is amazing

No as long as it’s postmarked by election day. There should be a grace period of a week or so for late ballots. But I also think people should be encouraged to drop ballots off instead of put them in the mail.
