Certainly -Keystone, are you considering running for the Northeast regional senate seat recently vacated by Brian from Family Guy?

Yes. I contacted Governor Fezzy, asking him to consider me for the seat.
Sounds good, Phil.  Getting both you and Virginian87 in the Senate would be excellent.

Are you still going to be on the ballot for District 2 Senate?

If you are in fact running for that Senate seat, you have my personal endorsement.  I prefer you over all the other candidates who have declared themselves in that race.

BTW -just to clear things up- am I correct in assuming that you are pulling out of the 2nd senate district race altogether to run for the Northeast regional senate seat?

There is no real campaign for the Northeast seat so I see no problem with being on the ballot for both.

As my colleague stated, I have made an announcement stating that I will not be a candidate in the D2 race. I asked the SoFA to take my name off the ballot but it appears that that is not allowed. I have urged the voters to unite behind Virginian. If I was to somehow win I would not accept the office and pass it on to the runner-up.

Well, you can't hold two offices:

so if you did win, you'd have to give up the regional seat before you could take the oath for the district seat. It could be a revolving door of special elections; so, thanks for handling it responsibly.

I obviously know that. That's why I stated that I'd pass the job on to the runner-up.
