According to CNN, President Trump has played more than twice as many rounds as President Obama had to this point in their respective Presidencies.

A complete lie. Twitter should remove it.

I don't know why Twitter hasn't banned his account yet.
Because of all of the views it gives them.

If they banned his account, the Right would migrate en masse to Parler and the latter would become a truly alternate microblogging platform, which Twitter doesn't want. Twitter's sweet spot is where they maintain hegemonic control over their microblogging monopoly but still have the power to "unperson" minor figures from time to time. If they go overboard with their power they lose it. Their AI algorithms tell them exactly what will happen, e.g. how many new users Parler (for example), in 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, if they ban a particular user who migrates to that platform. So whenever they issue a ban they already know the exact impact it will have.

That being said, Twitter is also aware they are under threat from open source, which would be a real revolution that takes the Internet back to the days of hyperlinking where anyone could be independent and your online persona wasn't subject to the ax at any moment by a platform. If things go well, in 10-20 years Insta, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and pretty much every app you can think of will go open source.
