didjaknow that 1.9% of US exports is blood plasma?  cite-NY Times  That's because it's illegal to buy it in most places (and in the few places it is legal, the pay is limited) and it's very useful in many medical situations (including Covid).  If the US were to stop allowing this, many thousands of people would die needlessly every year.  Yet we let people die of failing kidneys all the time.

What bits of your body should you be allowed by the state to sell?

The first four since they can be obtained without major surgery. Also something similar to Ferengi practice in Star Trek, only with the body parts of the dead being sold for use in medical procedures rather than desiccated.

Any that don't kill the donor, but it should be the government buying the organ and giving it freely to people who need them in a fair system.

It's a downright disgrace that we let people die needing a kidney transplant when there are hundreds of millions of healthy kidneys out there. And somehow the only country that has figured this out is ... Iran?!

Any of them when you are alive (as long as it doesn’t kill you), but once someone dies, their organs should be taken anyways and used for donor or research purposes.

First four, bone marrow, and I'd make an exception for kidney because of the dire need for them in the pool.
