I would like to propose an amendment to Article V Clause 5 which reads as follows:

Clause 5. All candidates must register their name to be placed on the ballot twenty days before the general election, and they must also inform the public of which political party they are affiliated with

I wish to propose an amendment changing it from twenty days to seven days meaning it would now read like this:

Clause 5. All candidates must register their name to be placed on the ballot seven days before the general election, and they must also inform the public of which political party they are affiliated with

That is 7 votes in favour, that means the amendment has now passed doesn't it?

Does it have to now go to a public poll?

I vote nay.  I support the amendment, but since it already passed, I vote against it because the plant proposed it.  However, I will vote 'yea' in the public poll because the plant didn't start the poll.
