In addition, according to D.C.'s Political Report webpage, it mentions Democratic state Rep. Spencer Black who could be running an independent candidacy for Wisconsin governor -basically the Wisconsin version of Virginia's Russ Potts, Jr., only more liberal.

Mark Green, Doyle doesn't have the best approval ratings because he's done basically nothing for the state. And that Spencer Black (never heard of him) might suck some votes from Doyle as well.

Green, I suppose.  Doyle's negative approval ratings are too poor for him to carry on as the state's governor.  Perhaps, that possible Democrat's 1994 we keep hearing about will help pull Doyle through.

In a way that will help Green because all Doyle can do to get help to win is to get negative and that will hurt him more than it will help.

I hope the republicans spend loads of money in Wisconsin because they are going to do what they always do and thats lose.

Democrats have to stay focused on pick-up seats and not become defensive like 2004. Colorado, Arkansas, Minnesota, Ohio, California, Alaska, Maryland, Massachusetts and New York are very serious pick-up opportunities.

Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Maine will vote democrat if we keep the pressure on republicans in their states. Republicans cant have democratic governors in Colorado, Arkansas, Minnesota and Ohio in 2008. Dems could put some funny things on the ballot.

Reps tend to have bad luck in Wisconsin, and I imagine we'll see the same thing happen this time around.

It's because they have to, it'll be a tough race and if they don't go all out Doyle doesn't stand a chance.

Tied state, incumbent with tied approval ratings...I still think Doyle will pull through, but it'll be close.

Doyle should win and I'd be surprised if he didn't.

That's what it looks like right now, and it's still very close. Might change once the campaign is actually underway.  I know a lot of normally liberal Dems who never vote Republican are going to vote Green becuase they can't stand Doyle anymore.

...and New York are very serious pick-up opportunities.

If the Democrats spend a penny on Spitzer it'd be outlandish.  Spitzer couldn't lose if he came out and said he supported making New York a dictatorship and murdered 50,000 people.  (Alright he might lose, but it'd be damn close)

There is no Green candidate for Wisconsin governor, unless you mean these liberal Democrats are going to vote for Spencer Black.

By "Green" I mean "Mark Green" the Republican nominee for Governor. Smiley  And I should say the "lot of normally liberal Dems" who are know are teachers at my school.
