I might be missing the joke, but I realized Andrew Romanoff is literally the Colleen Hanabusa of Colorado. Former state legislative leader who unsuccessfully challenges an appointed Senator in the primary after being passed over for the appointment. Subsequently runs for Congress, and then against a Governor in a primary.

No dog in this fight, but SurveyUSA face-planted in the 2018 Senate elections. They had some Nazi GOP dude in CA on 20% & predicted he'd be Feinstein's challenger. I know they have an A rating, but I'm never forgetting that error.

The difference is that Hanabusa had the support of both Inouye and Akaka in the primary. Inouye actually request that Hanabusa be appointed to his seat if he was incapacitated for any reason, but Abercrombie ignored that. Hanabusa was also supported by Inouye's widow.

About what I would expect the margin to be (maybe a little narrower than this).

Does make the millions being spent by Dem super PACs to shore up Hickenlooper seem odd though.

62-34 Hick among those who have already voted ...

I'm more interested if they also polled the GE and Presidential race.

Congressman Richard Neal has revealed a recent (private) primary poll shows Kennedy ahead by 20% in his district.

Hickenlooper is going to win both races easily. Too bad we can't trade him for Doug Jones.

I'm not surprised. Admittedly, I voted for Hickenlooper, since I've recognized from before that he is going to win the primary, and since he probably still would be the stronger candidate against Cory Gardner.

Full release:

http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReport.aspx?g=a8ccbb6d-abd4-4943-8969-7040eb37d327

Some interesting numbers here:
- 11% think Hickenlooper is too far to the right, but 8% think the same of Romanoff
- Hickenlooper voters break 62%-10% in favour of M4A (not much of a divide - Romanoff voters break 70%-11%)
- 24% of Romanoff voters think Hickenlooper is more electable; only 49% of them think Romanoff is more electable
- Hickenlooper's fundamentally ethical/unethical numbers break 18%-9%, with 62% opting for "ethical guy who made some mistakes"

If the poll is right (subsample health warnings apply as always), it is looks like Romanoff dropped the ball.

You had a full-blown temper tantrum and baselessly accused me of being a #BernieOrBuster because I thought Bernie was a better candidate than Warren. You don't get to determine who's a part of the party.

You especially don't get to when you say I'm less of a Democrat than my state's former Republican Party chair because of my forum avatar. Never mind my views and record of supporting Democrats offline or her previous contentness with our state's proto-Trump.

E: nobody wants me to dredge up that song and dance again

Not much of a surprise, considering Romanoff was all but Generic D before this election cycle.

Still to the left of Hickenlooper, but goes without saying. Amazing that Mark Udall lost and the DSCC crowns this clown to take back his seat.

When the tent is big enough for John Bolton but not people who want universal healthcare.

FYI they weren't really united behind any one candidate early in this primary and the candidate who'd actually endorsed Sanders went on to miss the signature requirement for the primary ballot because of COVID-19.

He also got triggered and called me a commie because I used the word "comrade". Not in a socialist way, just in a generic way.

Truly unhinged stuff, folks.

Centrists love to blame anyone who criticized Hilary at any point in 2016 for helping Trump win and dividing the party, only to insult, attack, and smear at least 30% of the party at every turn for wanting progressive policy. Just massively vindictive people really.

Don't blame KYWildman. I'd be bitter too if the candidate I was supporting disavowed my behavior as divisive.

Sanders is probably going to enjoy rent-free living space for years to come in the heads of some. I mean, it’s pretty pathetic to still be going on about “Bernie Bros” months after Sanders dropped out of the race after their preferred candidate won. It’s about as pathetic as Trump supporters who are still obsessed with Hillary Clinton. (Note that I’m not talking about Biden supporters who have moved on from the primary, only those still stroking a hate boner for anyone who supports or is in any way associated with Sanders.)
