I support, I guess, the right of the state to make such a law...but I have no idea what the purpose of such a law could be - other than to demonstrate complete stupidity.

Well, it seems to violate Griswald vs. Connecticut. I guess the wingnuts want to get that strucken down too. Of course for now, they're just banned.

They can have my multi-speed red ryder when they pry it out of my cold dead hands!!

The possibility that someone like you would attempt to seek a sexual partner is more than enough justification to override this law.

For the record:
The Mississippi legislature has an overwhelming Democrat majority

And the law has been proposed in Tennessee by a Democratic State Senator, Charlotte Burks.

See, it is stupid laws like this that give Christianity a bad name.  Are they next going to ban cucumbers, Baby Oil, and Victoria Secret?

My wife is not into sex toys and we have never used one...but I can't think of a single reason why a Christian would want to outlaw such items.

Maybe they are not so much Christians as they are bureaucrats who simply can't stand the idea of free people making their own choices about their own lives. The people of Mississippi have three choices as I see it:
1)Find out who voted for this law and make sure they don't get re-elected.
2) Vote with their feet and move to a more sane state.
3) Internet sales.

It's interesting how the only "yes" votes so far have been from Democrats.

I wouldn't support this law in my state, but if Mississippi wants to do it, let them.

The more restrictions on freedom these states pass, the sooner people might realize they're nuts.

This sort of law should properly be considered unconstitutional under the right to privacy.

Btw, I always find it amusing to think of the lack of a ban on handguns when this sort of oppression is instituted.   What a sad, sick land.

Keep 'em legal just so we don't get any Mississippi people coming across the border to Memphis. Mississippi people are scary.

What is the point of banning sex toys?
