>You tell Labor you're interested in running for house
>They say no
>You leave Labor and declare a house candidacy anyway
>You get the talk from prominent Laborites about how being loyal to the party is more important than anything
>You return to Labor
>You get endorsements from prominent Laborites

The last two points are what I mean.
The reality here is that I did ask Labor if I should run in this election and they notified me that they had a full slate. I'm not even sure what a full slate means, but I was willing to respect their decision making process. I didn't want to stage a campaign as a Labor member if that was not the direction the party wanted to go. However, it seems that with Speaker Thumb dropping out of the race, there is now "room" for me on the slate, so I'm in the position I had originally wanted to be in at the start. The posts about party loyalty had no impact in my decision making, I've supported Labor Party members for some time now and that still tends to be the case. My campaign here is focused on the issues and what I can contribute to our democracy. As far as I can tell, Labor members have supported Peace candidates and other small parties as well. Perhaps there is something I'm missing, if so you can point to it.

Seven Eleven did criticize Labor for not being left wing enough though.

I haven't criticized the Labor Party, or any other party for that matter. I did happen to be critical of a bill sponsored by a Labor Senator, but as I said above, this is an issues-oriented campaign and I plan to focus on what I can bring to the table and stand up for what I believe in. In some instances, I may disagree with other Labor members. That's natural in a democracy. I'll continue to be clear about where I stand and remain willing to work with anyone to pave a path to a prosperous future.

Alright, folks, it appears that the day of reckoning is before us!

As the campaign reaches its final stage, we ask for your support and perhaps a bit of luck, and together we will reap the fruits of our Labor. Heh.

I would like to also wish luck to the other candidates and thank everyone for running a good, clean campaign.

I want to reiterate my gratitude for those who choose to support me, and leave you with the promise that I shall not let you down!

Thank you very much, and good evening!

Thank you, and thank you to everyone who voted for this movement! It appears we have achieved success, final results pending.

I'd also like to congratulate President Pericles on his astounding victory, as well as everyone else who participated this weekend.
