Lieberman was chosen because he was centrist and from New England which at the time was a region Democrats saw rapidly trending towards them. As of right now, the obvious trending regions are the SW and the Piedmont Atlantic. Depending on what region Biden prioritize and sticking to a female pick it would be Sinema or Murphy.

When I think of the Lieberman pick, I think of two things: he was pretty moderate and now seems completely to the right of the modern party, and he was selected in part to distance Gore from the sex scandals of the Clinton administration. I don't think there's a good analog to the Clinton sex scandals; the closest I can think of is Gillibrand taking a leading role in getting Al Franken to resign. As for picking someone moderate, Sinema seems like the most moderate plausible(ish) candidate.

Lieberman was not considered a conservative Democrat in 2000.  He was something of a Scoop Jackson Democrat.  Even that was a bit surprising; he became more hawkish as his career progressed.

So, maybe, Klobuchar.

Out of curiosity, I once found some analysis of 2004 healthcare plans and Lieberman's was among those with the most coverage for the best cost.
