How specifically will our presence have impacted, affected, and changed the situation in our world? What unique challenges will this planet face as a result of our presence, and what new innovations will we have brought to the table?

In old age, Millennials will become the cranky defenders of the currently ascendant rational-secular paradigm and its over-zealous subscription to the idea that technological proliferation is a societal cure all.  They'll be under attack from new age Romantics, Luddities and religious proselytizers of the mid-century Great Awakening (2040s-2060s).

I'm reading the book "The Fourth Turning".

https://www.businessinsider.fr/us/protests-coronavirus-crisis-fourth-turning-theory-millennials-boomers-2020-6

https://www.advisorperspectives.com/articles/2020/05/20/neil-howe-the-pandemic-and-the-fourth-turning

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/28/us/politics/coronavirus-republicans-trump.html

The millennials is considered as the "civic" generation.

The United States will still be the number one world superpower, but India and Nigeria would not be far behind as the top non-western world superpowers, along with China which will be well on its way to becoming a liberal parliamentary democracy after 2050.

The United States will not be a top 5 country in the world. The EU will probably be dead at least. But I'm more interested in hearing thoughts from others.

Not optimistic about much bring done on the climate change front, but I also don't think the worst case scenarios will come close to happening. Some drought and coastal land loss may have occured.

When exactly do you mean by this? Because that time period could be interpreted as everything from 2050 to 2100, and I certainly expect the opposite ends of that range to be very different from eachother.

In terms of global power projection?  Who will displace us from the Top 5?

I can picture the EU merging into a federation of Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and a few other true believers.

Y2K will outlive their Boomer parents due to the fact that strokes and heart attacks are on the decline. Also, due to carbon monoxide detectors, there arent fatal fires. Fatal strokes, heart attacks and fires are on the decline and survival rate are on the increase. That's why Queen Elizabeth and her hubby are still alive at 100

Much of the South will be unlivable during the summers, tidal flooding a fact of life in many coastal metros, etc. Don't want to speculate re: disease, war and famine.
