How would you react, if Trump loses this year but Pence still comes back to take the 2024 presidential election?

Shocked that Pence, with such close ties to the Trump Admin would not just win the nomination but the election outright. It would have to be a close Trump loss.

I could see a stronger GOP candidate narrowly winning against Biden's handpicked replacement, especially if a near-82 year old Biden actually ran for a second term, which I find very unlikely (keep dreaming).  I don't view Pence as that strong as a candidate.
