Senator DeMint has been eyeing candidates vying for the Republican Nomination for President. Under Al Gore's Presidency, our country has been weaker, and less prepared. The Government is attacking the Basic Civil Liberties that are outlined in our Constitution. As Governor of South Carolina, I have fought against this Government Tyranny and supported candidates that will do the same.

After 16 years of Democratic Rule in Washington, people are out of work, the economy is faltering, and our country is close to being in shambles. We need a Strong, One Nation Conservative Leader to take back the White House and propel our country into the 21st Century. Curb inflation, unemployment, and taxes too.

Question #1

You see, there is one thing that is needed to combat the left, which is surging to power across many states in our great country. These left wing lunatics are taking over our State Governments, passing far left legislation that is destroying our country and our traditions. Now, my parents came to this country, but they did so legally. They came here because they wanted to give me a better life in the Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave. Yet, when we see what is happening to our country now, that same vision is not a reality. People are coming here illegally, and taking free handouts that President Gore is giving out, and not putting anything back in. It's an absolute shame. After 16 years of Democratic Rule, Civil Unrest, and the destruction of America as we know it, I believe that millions of Americans are going to opt for a change. I believe that we need to combat Al Gore's Democratic Party with it's polar opposite, an Unapologetic Conservative who can win in a Tossup State. I believe that we are going to send a Republican to the White House next year, but we have to send the right one. Many of my opponents are to the left of me, and let me just say, they aren't really Republicans in my view. I am a strong willed Republican who is not afraid to take up arms against this tyrannical Democratic state in support of our Constitution and our freedoms.

Question #2

When President Gore made this move to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell, what he did was sell our country out to the Far Left loonies. Don't Ask, Don't Tell has allowed for many conflicts, lawsuits, and problems to be avoided in our military. People don't need to know your sexual orientation, whether you are gay, straight, bisexual, or other. What matters in the military is what you're willing to put in to defend our country, and ensure that we keep our people and our democracy safe. This has created so many problems, because now we see people flaunting their sexuality, when what they should be flaunting is their medals and ribbons. As President, I will re-institute Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and abide by my Constitutional Conservative Values that have been instilled in me since my birth. I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, not because I hate gay people, but because it is what God wants, and what God says in the Bible. We must follow our Constitution, but most importantly we must follow our hearts and souls. I will repeal the Defense Against Marriage Act, and restore our Social Values in this country, and I will do this unapologetically.

Listen, I'm a Southern Conservative, I believe in Small Government, The Free Market, and the Constitution. People don't want the Government meddling in their business, they want to OPEN businesses. As President, I will keep the Department of Homeland Security, but I will reduce the spending of this Department, since our country is fairly stable and secure at this time. However, if we were to face a Major Global Threat, I would meet with the Cabinet and Members of Congress to decide the course of action regarding Financial Appropriations. Do not get me wrong though, we must keep our country safe. That is why I believe that our biggest threat is Al Gore's Foreign Policy, of selling out to the Chinese Government, when we get nothing in return. I will reverse Al Gore's and Bill Clinton's Anti-American Trade Policies, and actually work for a system that works for American Workers and Businesses.

Specific Candidate Question

The American Civil Liberties Union doesn't really stand up for what it's saying it does. It has consistently sided with left wing groups and people, when it was obvious that the right wing group or person was within their Constitutional Rights. They don't stick up for our Civil Liberties, what they stick up for is the Washington Elites, that are devoted to defeating a growing amount of people getting tired of the same old, same old in Washington. In that ad, I said what was on my mind, and what was on the minds of many Americans. When people immigrate to this country, they must do so legally, or face the consequences. We have a border for a reason, and there is no compromising when it comes to our National Security. If I have the honor to be elected President, I will ensure that crossing the border illegally stays a crime, which the left wing elites in Washington want to reverse. I will continue to devote more support to I.C.E. and organizations like it. I will always stand up for Americans against the Far Left and Illegal Immigrants coming to destroy our country. Our Constitution gives us the rights to protect our borders for a reason, let's actually do something about it.

Jindal April - August Schedule

Major rallies across Nevada, California, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Florida. He used some of his less-known surrogates in small, rural areas across these key states. He campaigned hard with Senator Jim DeMint in The Palmetto State, which he is counting on a big win in to propel his campaign for President. He spent big on digital, and TV ads in Southern States, using a "Southern Strategy" to ensure his Primary Victory. He countered attacks and talking points from his opponents, such as Senator George Allen calling for "A True Conservative to win the Presidency."

May

In May, Governor Jindal spent his time campaigning mostly in the Midwestern States, such as Michigan, Ohio, Wyoming, North & South Dakota, and Iowa. He spent time with multiple Conservative Activists and Leaders, campaigning to elect Conservatives up and down the ballot. He held multiple events, fundraisers, and luncheons to secure more votes, especially at smaller caucus areas. He promised at one of his events to, "bring back the jobs that this President has destroyed."

June

In June, Governor Jindal campaigned across the country, going from Maine to California. With fundraisers being held in Sacramento, Riverside, to Door Knocking Campaigns in Bangor. He raised a record for his campaign, $1.5 million in the month. He racked up endorsements from local City Councilors, Ward Counselmembers, and Local Commissioners. He labeled himself as "The Conservative Choice" to destoy the Blue Wall that has been built up over 16 years.

July

In July, Governor Bobby Jindal returned to the Southern U.S. to campaign hard on Conservative Social Values, and a Small Government. He met with multiple Conservative Activists that have been widely outspoken, and had an interview on CNN while in Atlanta. Governor Jindal hit hard on his Conservative Values, and condemning other candidates for not fighting for Conservative Values nationally.

August

In August, Governor Jindal wrapped up his Summer by going on a "Conservative Fighter Tour" in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, North & South Carolina, Tennessee, and Wyoming. He worked on multiple new digital and TV ads, racked up over $1 million in fundraising, and worked hard to receive endorsements from local Conservative Leaders. Governor Jindal thanked all of his supporters at his last "Conservative Fighter Tour" Rally in Nashville, Tennessee.

Opening Statement

Let me first say thank you to our moderators, and Semi Valley for hosting us here tonight in beautiful California. Today, I'm speaking to you as a father, a conservative, and a Governor. Now more than ever, we must work to defeat the far left socialism that is running rampant in our cities, and our states. If you look in Los Angeles, there's riots and gang violence, simply because our elected leaders cannot manage. I am running to be President, because I am sick and tired of seeing our society, and our country go to shambles, at the expense of Al Gore and his corrupt Democratic Party. We need a new Republican Party. With people from all backgrounds, black, white, brown, male, and female. We have to win this election, but if we don't have the right nominee, we won't. I can win a Presidential Election, because I have consistently defeated the odds, and have won. I'm proud to be standing on this stage as a First Generation Immigrant, but the difference between me and what President Gore thinks about immigrants is profound. My parents came her legally, and learned our language, our culture, and they assimilated, and because of it I am on this stage. Tonight, I ask that you listen to my plans, and together we can rebuild our country.

I definitely believe that our pathway to victory, and our pathway to taking our country back is through Florida. When Governor Crist endorsed me, I stood with him on that stage in Pensacola, and I want to quote him right here. "This country is built on work, not on handouts. This country is built on ideas. The person with the ideas, and the largest work ethic, is standing right next to me. Governor Bobby Jindal is ready to serve on Day One, because he has consistently taken control of f'ed up situations, and fixed em'." I think we're going to do fantastic in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, Michigan, Wyoming, Florida, and beyond. We are the team that can unite both fed-up Democrats, and Republicans to take down this corrupt Democratic Establishment. There is no doubt in my mind that we're going to take down people like far left Barbara Lee, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Lieberman. So I'm asking everyone here to join our campaign, because I can win in these places like Florida in the primary, and onto the General Election.

Closing Statement

I want to thank the moderators, my fellow candidates, and the audience for listening to us debate here tonight. I believe that our country is in dire need of assistance. We have people running the streets without check from the police, Government Officials taking part in corruption with no punishment. The people of the United States are fed up. Other countries are fed up. We need a leader with dignity, someone who isn't afraid to go to the United Nations, and say that it will not happen anymore. We will not sell out our country, until other countries pay their fair share. We are going to completely restructure our country, and our Government, to ensure that every citizen in our country has a chance to open up a business, get an education, or even become President one day. We must strengthen our Free Market, and end useless Government Regulations. Only then, will we truly be the country that our Founding Fathers envisioned. Thank you.
