No more threatening than carrying a Virginia flag or Gadsden flag or Alamo flag. Each flag implicitly threatens violence against government. At the end of the day its only illegal if you go beyond general expressions that the government is fast approaching the line at which it becomes a tyranny subject to overthrow. Promoting that general idea is within the bounds of free speech and has centuries of historical precedent.

Yep, looks like liberal Twitter has once again proven to be a disappointment to America.
At least some of the protestors are wearing masks, but that probably can only do so much in a large crowd of thousands where everyone is screaming at the top of their lungs.

What’s even worse is that just before this all began, Minneapolis was already seeing a huge rise in cases. This surely won’t help the situation.

Regardless of truth, I think it's a fairly interesting tactic in terms of creating a third-party villain that, hypothetically, both "forces" here--and the general public--should be opposed to while also allowing rioting and looting to be thoroughly condemned.

But sectors of the organized working class are already demonstrating solidarity with the protesters.

In a video that has since gone viral, a crowd cheers as an operator from the Metropolitan Transportation Authority refuses to drive a bus filled with arrested protesters, in a move similar to that made by bus drivers in Minneapolis.

If the killing of Floyd was the spark, then the quarantine and stay at home orders are the kerosene soaked rags. A quarter of working age adults are out of work. The working class has been holed up in their homes for close to three months, without regular pay or income. They are furious, and rightly so.

It bears repeating here that lockdowns cannot last indefinitely. The Federal Government failed to develop any real plan to respond to the virus, beyond a patchwork of quarantines and using existing stockpiles of medical equipment. As a result, the states are left to their own devices and lack the resources to contain the epidemic.

Our feckless leadership enabled this crisis and we are now paying the price.
