So where's my job? Where's my raise? If people weren't asking these questions in 2018, they are going to be asking it now.

It worked to just show that more people are getting jobs and raises when not everyone actually had one again yet for Reagan in 1984 after he got bludgeoned by mass firings  in 1982 but this is an entirely different animal. Then, we went from 6% UE to 10% UE to 7% UE. Now, we are going from 3% UE to 18% UE to maybe 13% UE.

Fortunately for Biden I'd say its pretty much impossible for the economy to recover that quickly and strongly if only because it'll take several months at least for supply chains to restart and inventories to build back up.

It doesn't matter if the riveting plant reopens if they have no nails, and the nail plant can't make nails without steel, and the steel plant can't make steel without iron...

All of these shortages are going to make themselves known over the next few months, and they'll prevent the sort of V-shaped recovery that would make Trump the favourite again. But if he's very lucky he might be able to make it close again if COVID doesn't kick back up and the interim period isn't a complete mess.
