Part of Obama's reelection strategy was to blame Republicans in the House of obstruction and gridlock. What if Republicans gained seats in the 2010 midterms, but not enough to flip the House? Remember that Democrats had 257 seats after the 2008 election. So they could have lost 25-30 and still control the chamber. What laws would have been passed in the 112th congress and how would that have impacted the 2012 election?
