Logging on! Vermin Supreme's march towards the Oval Office continues today.

Also oh my god I get that this had to be rushed together but the fact that America's third-largest political party is nominating its candidate from an iMac screen recording of a google doc is... not a sign of professionalism. Anyways I'm gonna keep it on all day in the background.

The LP chairman sounds like he's just done with everyone and everything.

I honestly think it's gonna be Jorgensen then Gray then Hornberger then Supreme in that order. All of my hopes are invested in it being Supreme since he unironically would probably do better than any of the ideologues up there at the moment but I don't think there's much of a chance.

I don't agree with Sharpe's politics however he ran a fine campaign for NY governor 2 years ago has a firm commitment to his beliefs and would be a great vice presidential nominee.

This is pure orderly chaos. Basically every delegate has tried to suspend the rules while a delegate motioned to add the chair of the LP who is RUNNING THE PROCESS to the nomination list. So much confusion over if he can even preside over this vote. They motioned if the audience is allowed to boo speakers over zoom. Tried to add "Flaming Meteor" to the list. 1 hour later and no new names ended up being added. My head hurts.

I remain constantly surprised that people don't know that Random.org is a thing. Best way for random numbers.

I don't agree with Sharpe's politics however he ran a fine campaign for NY governor 2 years ago has a firm commitment to his beliefs and would be a great vice presidential nominee.

Sharpe recently said:
Quote from: Larry Sharpe
I’ve had a few LP delegates reach out to me today for clarity: I do NOT believe that the other LP Presidential Candidates actually want me and my plan. NONE have indicated so to me. And NO caucuses have endorsed me or my plan. ONLY Judge Jim Gray has embraced both me and my plan. Accordingly, it doesn’t make sense for me to run for VP if the Judge doesn’t become our nominee. We won’t message and campaign effectively and we won’t be able raise money or make the impact that I believe is necessary. I hope that is clear. I will still be with the party either way. Thank you all for your support.

So Jorgensen/Sharpe or Hornberger/Sharpe or whatever is unlikely, even though Sharpe is way out in front in the VP race. Which is kind of funny, because in 2016, Sharpe was well known as the "I'll run with anybody lol" candidate.

This is a mess.

Can't wait to see who wins it.

You're also probably going to see a few independent campaigns from this, because it doesn't seem like the process is being respected and treated like a real convention.

Good call. Behrman:

I did not make the ballot for the LP POTUS Nomination. I am changing my campaign affiliation to independent and will continue this race until the general election. I endorse Vermin Supreme for President for the Libertarian nomination as worthy opponents in the general election.

Is there any real chance they let Vermin have the nomination? Ironically, he'd probably get the highest PV %, but he'd make the party look like even more of a meme than it already is.

I was fully expecting it to be him.

Could Sharpe become VP regardless of who wins? He seems like the strongest candidate on either ticket (except Supreme ofc)

If Gray is (somehow) nominated, then it'll be Sharpe no question. If Gray isn't nominated, then it seems like Sharpe will bow out, at which point it's probably a tossup between Spike Cohen & Ken Armstrong.

Arvin Vohra and Cynthia McKinney have endorsed Adam Kokesh, and Kim Ruff and Dan Taxation is Theft Berhman have endorsed Vermin Supreme.

Nomination speeches are finally happening.

Monds is a really moving, motivational person.

He'd kill it in the GOP/Dem. Party.

It's looking like if Kokesh loses, his campaign will be endorsing Vermin.

Vermin might have a chance here...

Yeah I was just about to say that his delegates seem pretty in favour of Supreme.

Kokesh endorses Sharpe for VP, stiffing McAfee.

P.S. Adam Back is Satoshi Nakamoto

I don't see him getting the nomination, but this is a really smart move and will definitely earn him some more delegates.

John McAfee's career (or lack thereof, he never really did anything except the debate in 2016) with the LP appears to end here.

So surreal watching these speeches from people's bedroom. It makes me wonder what the Dem process will be. Cannot imagine it being a literal zoom call. Prerecorded? I hope not.

We may end up with two Jo(e)s on the ballot in November.
