Obama would probably be regarded by progressives as on-par with Lyndon Johnson or Woodrow Wilson, as far as Democratic presidents go.  Gutting the social safety net for modest tax increases.

Obama would be primary challenged and would be (deservedly) defeated for re election in 2012, unless butterflies give the GOP nomination to one of the more fringe candidates.
