How should I do San Diego? I only really know how to do the VRA district.

I have Huntington Beach and OC VRA.

Victor Valley and Central Valley. Should I pair Inyo and Mono with San Bernardino or Kern?

I think drawing a map and posting it for discussion is usually a lot more useful and helpful than constantly posting cries for help on how to draw districts. You can look at other folks' maps which you like if you need guidance, but spamming like this isn't useful. Sorry to be rude.

Redid my Central Valley to shore up Hispanic CVAP in Bakersfield. I also kept Visalia whole. I would like to find others' links to maps so I can look at how their maps were done. I haven't found many maps with a traditional Victor Valley district.

No one's going to help you draw your map. I provided examples of what I did, you need to do it the way you want. Again your 18th is ridiculous, what's you plan with the 4th?

Which one is better? Inyo and Mono need to be attached to either San Bernardino or Kern for year-round road access.

It's obviously better to put Inyo and Mono with San Bernardino like how it is now.

I think I got the compactness better. I decided to make CA-19 Trump +3.

So, I cleaned up the Perris snake and I also managed to clean up the ugly Stanislaus district, though this pushed the 7th into Placer. Also making the 24th more compact would probably result in city splitting, and the current one goes from Palmdale to Simi Valley, so I don't see what's wrong with this:

I really like my new Central Valley Hispanic districts. I was able to keep Visalia and the city of Tulare whole in CA-22.

CA-18, Kevin McCarthy
CA-19, TJ Cox
CA-20, Jim Costa: 65.7% Hispanic; 52% HCVAP
CA-22, OPEN: 72.4% Hispanic; 58.3% HCVAP

Ugh where to even start. First Lancaster and Palmdale should be together. Also San Diego is awful what's happening there and I have a hard time believing that you care about city splitting considering how many you split on this. I turned on city lines for the first time with your map and uh yeah it's pretty bad. Rocklin down to Death Valley does not belong together. It's also unnecessary to split up the sacramento suburbs because you can fit two districts inside of Sacramento County with a little bit left over with lets say one taking in the city of Sacramento and the other taking in nearly all the suburbs. You clearly gerrymandered San Diego to make sure there was no R district and I don't know why you extended the 49th into Riverside County it's not necessary. Your 50th really should take in San Ysidro, National City, Chula Vista, Lemon Grove and La Mesa and the 51st doesn't make any sense, why not have it continue up the coast and your 52nd can be more compact it doesn't need to shoot straight up like that. Why doesn't your 46th take in La Quinta and Indian Wells instead of heading farther West all the way to Hemet? You're splitting up COI's in San Diego County.

Connecting Inyo and Mono to Alpine and Placer is illegal because there isn't year-round road connectivity. West Sacramento should go with Sacramento despite being in a different county. Fresno to Bakersfield doesn't work. Huntington Beach and Dana Point shouldn't be together. Garden Grove shouldn't be paired with Irvine. El Cajon and National City don't fit together. CA-50 is illegal because it is only barely majority Hispanic in total population. CA-50 has an extremely large white population. CA-15 isn't majority-Hispanic in CVAP. CA-45 isn't majority Hispanic in CVAP. CA-50 can easily elect a white candidate.

CA-18 (access): Clinton +8, 43.7% plurality HCVAP
CA-19 (VRA): Clinton +11; 52.5% HCVAP
CA-20 (VRA): Clinton +13; 54.7% HCVAP
CA-22 (white district)
CA-40 (Victor Valley-Redlands)

I have two Orange County districts.

Orange County:
CA-44: open (Diedre Nguyen?)
CA-46 (VRA): Lou Correa

Which one does Costa take? Which one does Cox take? CA-19 is the safest Fresno seat. My map has no equivalent of CA-16 or CA-21.

Fresno metro:

CA-18: ?
CA-19: ?
CA-22: Kevin McCarthy

I made three Emerald Coast maps. Which one do you like the best?

Left: CA-01, open
Center: CA-01, Doug LaMalfa
Right: CA-01, Mike Thompson

My tentative incomplete San Diego map. Is that a decent North County district? I like it because it's compact.

CA-49: open
CA-52: Juan Vargas
