What if, instead of appointing Bob Kreuger to Lloyd Bentsen's seat Ann Richards appointed lieutenant governor Bob Bullock? I know he never would have done it, he was a giant of Texas politics and wanted to stay put but if he accepted it could he have won in 1993 and 1994?

IMO Bullock would have been Narrowly Reelected in '93 but in '94 if there's a Republican Wave then Bullock would Be beaten considering Ann Richards lost to Bush Jr.
