This bill will require new cars sold in Atlasia to have sensors that detect when there are passengers (especially children) in the rear seat. This will reduce the number of cases where the parent or driver forgets they are in the car, which will also reduce the number of cases where children are left and forgotten in a locked car.

There have been a number of cases where children have been killed by virtue of being left in a locked car. Also a problem for pets as well.

It is one of the those things where if technology can provide solutions, then we should look into that of course.

Not a summer goes by that we don't hear at least one tragic story about a child who was accidentally left inside a hot car.  The consequences are always distressing for everyone involved, both for the child who is left to die in such a horrific manner and for the parent who has to live with both the guilt and the legal consequences of making that mistake.  I support this bill as a common sense measure to prevent these tragedies.

I honestly don't have a strong opinion one way or the other but given how people seem to be in favour and there doesn't seem to be any negatives I suppose I will vote aye and support the bill
