There were really many ways to avoid a Donald Trump presidency, and even his nomination...sometimes he reminds me of a somewhat Mr Magoo in regard to that campaign. I usually don't believe in things like fate or planet alignment, but for Trump really everything went right in the right places and in the right moment...for example, the Supreme Court vacancy was one of these things that played in his favour: I can see McMullin winning Utah and more votes for Gary Johnson or scattered in this scenario.
