I'll just go from after the Civil War:
Grant 1868 - 1872
Democratic in every election 1876 through 1924
Hoover in 1928
Democratic in every election 1932 through 1964
Nixon 1968 - 1972
Carter in 1976
Republican in every election 1980 through 2004
Obama 2008 - 2012
Trump 2016
Funnily, for decades this group would have been the same as North Carolina alone, before breaking up in 2012.
