Given the recent controversies, introducing this bill to actually get history right:

Quote
Honoring Civil War Heroes Act

To honor those who valiantly fought for the righteous cause of national unity in Atlasia's darkest time

1. Statues of heroes from the First Atlasian Civil War (1861-1865) shall be erected in the following towns:
-General Ulysses S. Grant in the town of Point Pleasant, Ohio
-General William Tecumseh Sherman in the town of Lancaster, Ohio
-General George Henry Thomas in the town of West Point, New York
-General George Meade in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
-General Philip Sheridan in the town of Albany, New York
-General Henry Halleck in the town of Westernville, New York
-General George McClellan in the town of Orange, New Jersey
-President Abraham Lincoln in the town of Springfield, Illinois
-Secretary of War Edwin Stanton in the town of Steubenville, Ohio
-Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles in the town of Glastonbury, Connecticut

2. May 9th, the day that the First Atlasian Civil War was over shall become a regional holiday and celebrated as Victory Day.

Note that May 9th is interestingly just one day after the European theatre of World War II was won, and in fact in the post-Soviet countries May 9th is when they celebrate "Victory in Europe" day. So this is a neat little bonus Smiley

Introducing this painfully unfunny meme resolution as a citizen

Quote
1776 Shall Not Commence Again Resolution

Whereas, the Lincoln Region offers the least freedom to it's residents;

Whereas, the Lincoln Region has been known to fully oppose the existance of a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms;

Whereas, the Lincoln Region, along with all of Atlasia, mourns and regrets Independence Day on July 4th;

Be it resolved, that the Lincoln Government:

1. Would encourage Lincolnites to mourn and regret Independence Day by practicing target shooting on disused statues of War of Independence generals at designated locations; except the right to keep and bear arms is bad and therefore nobody should be shooting at statues

2. Discourages the use of unsafe low potency explosives that should be illegal in Independence Day celebrations.

3. Encourages Lincoln residents to proudly display the Union Jack and any flags from members of the Commonwealth; as well as to sing and play God Save the Queen

4. Encourages Lincoln residents to safely burn or otherwise desecrate pro-Atlasian, racist, or anti-LGBTQ paraphernalia and/or literature.

Since Lincoln has been awfully quiet as of late, here is a dumb meme bill modeled after MB's latest executive order.

Quote
Italian Supremacy Act

1. Morristown, New Jersey is hereby renamed John Gotti City and all Atlasians of Italian descent are invited to move there to begin an ITALIAN FUTURE.
2. The government of Lincoln formally apologizes to the Republic of Italy and the Italian-American community for any abuses committed against said community.
3. The government of Lincoln shall pay reparations to all Atlasians of Italian descent in the region, amounting to 100$ per person.
4. The 17th of March, Italian Unification day, shall be observed as a state holiday in the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachussets
