Greetings my fellow ACPers, as acting chairman of the Atlas Conservative Party, I have called this special convention to hold a vote on merging into the Federalist Party. This merger will see the ACP become a part of a new cacus within the Federalist party, the Conservative Federalist Caucus aka ConFed Caucus.

As a majority (6/11) of current ACP members have signed in, I open the convention to debate the merger for 36 hours. I will open the vote on the merger after that time. I see that all six of the attendees of this convention have already proxy voted. So I expect there to be limited opposition to the merger.

My fellow members & comrades of the ACP, unfortunately our party is in decline and with our founder and former Chair, Fhtagn, having joined the Federalist party, it makes sense for us at this time to add our dynamism and energy our progenitor party, the Federalists. The Federalist's have a long tradition as a broad tent right of centre party. With our ACP in decline, I fell that we can better server our interests with this merger. I believe that we can provide impetus to the right of centre cause in Atlasia, via a  merger. We have history of working with the Federalists and many of us are former Federalists. With myself, having only ever been an ACPer, I am keen to see us forge a greater future together in a united party. Now of course we will still have our own ideological differences with many within the Federalist Party. The Conservative Federalist Caucus (ConFed Caucus) will allow us to keep the things that made the ACP the ACP while seeing us under the one roof of the longstanding Federalist Party.

I now open the floor to the ACP Membership for 36 hours to speak, for or againt the merger. I also open the floor to former ACP members.
