TURN THREE: 298 AC, Third Three Months

Player Prompts

Cersei Lannister, Dowager Queen, Regent

Queen Cersei,

Your decision to return your army to King’s Landing proved to be key. Had you not, the Gold Cloaks likely would not have been able to capture the Rivermen plotting to burn the city. There are now 10 Rivermen from various houses, mostly second sons or bastards from Houses like Blackwood, Fisher, and Mudd, in the dungeon of the Red Keep. Some on the Small Council suggest executing them for attempted treasons while others believe they are worth more alive, either as bartering chips or for the knowledge your spymaster could extract from them.

You have declared yourself ready to marry again and asked Lords to send ravens to King’s Landing expressing their interest. You received several ravens, especially after news of the disorder in the Vale spread concern over the rebels’ abilities. Among those who would wed you are Lord Petyr Baelish, your Master of Coin, Ser Morton Waynwood, the heir of Ironoaks, the Lord Buckwell of the Antlers, and Ser Tybolt Crakehall, heir to Crakehall. Will you accept one of their offers?

Stannis Baratheon, Claimant to the Iron Throne

King Stannis,

With the support of the Iron Bank, you now have a large army waiting for you in Tyrosh. Where will you have them land? How will you employ your new army? Your attack on the Arbor, while not a sure success, did achieve a small victory in that it scrambled the fleet and sunk several of their ships. Your brother and his army now sit on ships you sent for him in the Narrow Sea. What will you do with them?

Your wife’s following of R’hllor has grown and she has brought the priestess Melisandre to Dragonstone. Your wife urges you to adopt the faith of R’hllor and embrace the fiery priestess, while several of your supporters and lords caution you from importing a foreign religion and alienating yourself from the small folk.

Eddard Stark, Lord of Winterfell

Lord Stark,

Tragedy has struck your House. While your lords valiantly defended your realm and expelled the Ironborn, it was not without a great cost. Your son, Robb, as well as several of your bannerman were killed in a brutal surprise attack on their camp by a last-ditch, desperate band of Ironborn. This leaves your heir, under custom, as Bran the Broken, your disabled son who barely survived an assasination attempt. Your lords are calling for you to return North, to Winterfell, and focus on protecting your own realm and rebuilding your own family. Will you listen to them? Or will you follow the posthumous desire of your father-figure, Jon Arryn, and focus on King’s Landing?

Your war efforts in the South also suffered a massive loss in recent weeks. You had negotiated an alliance with your sister-in-law, Lady Lysa Arryn, and she had raised an army for you. That fell apart when your brother-in-law, Edmure Tully, arrived at the Eyrie and slandered Lady Arryn, suggesting the Valemen rise up against her. Now Edmure sits in a sky cell and the gates of the Vale are closed. How will you move forward?

Renly Baratheon, Lord of Storm's End

Lord Renly,

You and your army sit on ships sent from your brother in the Narrow Sea. You’ve had to flee your region, which has weakened morale and led several houses to turn on you. Blackhaven has fallen to the Dornish as well. While you have survived, your standing with the people has fallen greatly. What will you do next?

Tywin Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock

Lord Tywin,

While your army is in the Stormlands, your homelands are under attack from the Riverlands. Fields are burning and small folk are being terrorized while you are nowhere in sight. Your bannerman are pleading for you to come home and fight off the Tully forces, while the Stormlands are now without their Lord Paramount and, effectively, undefended. Your field commanders are urging you to finish the job in the Stormlands but, if you do so, will you have a home to return to?

Mace Tyrell, Lord of Highgarden

Lord Mace,

You’ve chosen to stay put at a critical time. With your army remaining in place in Highgarden, you’ve left much of the defending of the realm to your bannermen. This strategy has been put to the test as a Tully Army has moved into the Reach, burning fields and harassing smallfolk in the Northern portion of your realm.

Balon Greyjoy, Lord of the Iron Islands

Lord Greyjoy,

While your attacks on the North were successful, what to do next remains a debate. The attack on Bear Island was a success in that the Mormonts were all killed but it is now a burning island in the middle of the Bay of Ice, effectively useless to you or anyone. Some of your lords have urged you to return to mainland Westeros and rebuild the Kingdom of the Isles and Rivers while others believe it best to use the reaving force to build the wealth of the Iron Islands to support their independence. Which faction will you listen to?

Hoster Tully, Lord of Riverrun

Lord Tully,

Your efforts in the Vale were a disastrous failure. Your son-in-law, Lord Stark, had already negotiated a deal with Lady Arryn for her support when your son, Edmure, arrived and urged a coup against her. Now Edmure sits in a sky cell and the gates of the Vale are closed. How do you rebound from this failure?

You’ve sent forces into the Reach and the Westerlands to pillage and terrorize those regions. But the forces you’ve sent are fairly small and are unable to take any castle worth holding. Will you send reinforcements to the Reach or Westerlands or will you focus your efforts on King’s Landing or your own home lands?

Daenerys Targaryen, Khaleesi

Khaleesi,

You and your husband have spent three months travelling the Dothraki Sea and absorbing other Khalasars. Your force is now the largest Khalasar ever seen but a horde of horsemen is not a Westerosi Army. Ser Jorah urges you to travel to the Free Cities and sell the last of your possessions - the stone dragon eggs - to hire a sellsword company. Is that too high a price for you to pay?
