I was probably the most far-right poster before I went full Bloomberg liberal.

Ghost of Ruin isn't "far-left" by any stretch of the imagination, just extremely partisan.

In general I'd advise against linking partisanship and moderation (or lack thereof). It really depends on the individual, no good hard-and-fast rules exist on this.

Yeah, for example ExtremeRepublican definitely is one of the furthest right posters on Atlas (with the exception of a few issues like immigration/race relations), but despite his username he's said in recent years that he's actually not particularly wedded to the Republican Party anymore. And that relative lack of partisanship or "My Team" mentality means that he's not really what most people here think of as "a bad poster" despite some deeply wingnut positions On The Issues.

Really depends on the concrete issues. ER and Grassroots are the most far right on a lot of social\civil rights issues. Then we have people who are the most far right on immigration, not sure whom but definitely not ER. We also have the libertarians for a dose of far right economics.

More straightforward for the left tbh- usually the socialists\marxists also have the foreign policy to match and in most cases have similar views on social issues (the only issue that might be a bit different is gun control). So the names already mentioned, JA, PSOL, sjoyce etc.

Another interesting question might be who are the most moderate users whose avatars would make one think they're extreme. For example, I'm firmly left-wing, but probably the most or one of the most moderate maroon avatars. Parrotguy might be an example of one of the more moderate yellow avatars (although I can't quite tell if his is ironic or not; maybe dead0man is a better example if it is?).

The most far right economic poster is deadprez, but he isn't that active so Ill go with Yellowhammer(ironically most of atlas hates him for his social views, which are left of the median Republican)

DeadPrez caught Trump fever and dialed back some of his Social Darwinism on economics, though.  He caught the populist disease.

True but I can't really find anyone to his right on economics so its him in that regard.

Oh I'm very much not a libertarian! When the novelty of a Libertarian Soviet Union wears off I'll probably switch Tongue Yeah, I think dead0man is one of the most moderate libertarians, though libertpaulian might be more so (regularly supports Democrats).

If the median Republican is a neoconfederate who believee "not being transphobic is insane", America is in a terrible place.

Far Left: JA, warandwar, and Cassandra

Far Right: Higgins, ExtremeRepublican, Sir Woodsbury, Ray Goldfield, DeadPrez,

I would like to set the record straight that while I am actually kind of endeared by the designation of being far left, I really am not a radical or particularly well versed enough to be in the Far Left.

Edit: Maybe Lfromnj might also be considered a far rightist here

I wouldn’t really say he’s “more socially liberal than the median Republican” just cause his political philosophy is pretty rare. Much more paleocon than anything else.

I wouldn't consider you to be most far-left. Just very close to being the most partisan member in the entire site.

Ironic that the one of that most blatant car-right poster basically has a name to match, but has not yet been uttered. No one should forget Mr. Reactionary. There’s also clear theocrats like Georg Ebner or TJ in Oregon.

Ugh, true. Say what you will about ER or even Higgins, I doubt either of them would say or imply that being a member of the DSA is "crazier" than wanting to enshrine Christian Identity theology in the US Constitution and kill all non-Christian men.

That depends on what you mean by "far-right". I can't speak for Georg, but TJ doesn't really have particularly extreme policy views in any specific issue area, even though his political philosophy is pretty far from the median.

TJ has said that he supports the oppression of Jehovah’s Witnesses and other small Protestant sects during Francoist Spain to preserve the dominant culture there. He definitely counts. Ebner is probably a very religious Orthodox Calvinist, that alone has to count for something

Didn't SN say he voted for Obama in 2008? He could be lying, but you can't really prove anything on Atlas so judging by the character he is here he seems like a populist center-right Michigander that's really optimistic about Trump's chances. His PM scores are only 1.35 and 2.87, which is right-wing for sure but not the most far-right.

I do not recall the conversation about banning Jehovah's Witnesses under Franco, but I do not support Franco's policies toward them. In fact, I'm not aware of ever having heard of Franco's suppression of Jehovah's Witnesses until tonight.
