KickAss

That Lyndsy Fonseca girl is rather hot I have to say.

I saw that too. I was a little bit disappointed, it started out good but then didn't really deliver, imo.

Still, watching a little girl kill people with a smile on her face was fun and made up for a lot of deficiencies I suppose.

Finally saw Slumdog Millionaire, and quite enjoyed it.  It wasn't as good as the other movie I watched that night - Son of Rambow.

Crumb

A documentary about underground comic writer, Robert Crumb. It was very interesting but I was a bit surprised by how much time was spent discussing and interviewing family members.

The Expendables

It delivered basically exactly what you'd expect. And Charisma Carpenter is still way hot.

Yeah, it was decent. I also saw....

Piranha 3D

It was, as many reviews have pointed out, non-stop blood and boobs (especially in the second half). Awesome, awesome B-movie. We need more films like this. It was also just under 90 minutes which is a plus in my book.

I was pretty surprised to see that it got an 81% on RottenTomatoes.

I was hoping to see Life During Wartime, the new Todd Solondz film, but it seems I've come down with a bit of a fever. Sad Hopefully sometime this week.

It was well deserved. I have a feeling you'll enjoy it.

Life During Wartime

I wasn't aware this was basically a sequel to Happiness, despite a completely new cast. It worked pretty well in that regard, wasn't quite as disturbing as previous Solondz works though. Really there was no reason to release it unrated, it could've received an R easily. I'd recommend it only for fans of Solondz's work, any newcomers would probably find it boring and wouldn't recognize the many Happiness shoutouts.

Having watched Happiness, I greatly enjoyed it, but I'm something of a Solondz-fan. I wouldn't recommend seeing it without having seen Happiness though.

And, yeah, sort of tame by Solondz-standards.

I watched the first half of the movie Havoc, before I got bored with it and disappointed that the wigger rich kids weren't being massacred.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.

I wish I saw Piranha 3D instead.

I haven't seen either, but Scott Pilgrim vs The World actually sounds interesting.  Piranha doesn't really sound like it has much of a plot, just hurrdurr these big fish are eating people, girls in bikinis and stuff.

Suspiria

Great (actually amazing if not fully used properly) soundtrack. Not sure what to make of the rest of it however.

I think if Mr. Kempis saw that movie he'd change his quote. lol

I'm pretty undecided on the movie. I just think that Prianha 3D would be a better theater experience. Tits n' gore is always a good movie combination.

I did laugh my ass off at the vegan guy and a few of the jokes. The action sequences just didn't interest me except for the battle of the bands and the bass duel. Jason Schwartzman was great too.

Black Dynamite

Pretty amusing but it clearly would have been a lot more enjoyable in a packed theater with friends. It's definitely that kind of film.

500 Days of Summer - good, funny movie; not as great as some people had said, but a perfectly good movie.
