This is an effort at a GOP-mander that doesn't fall afoul of the Fair Districts Amendment.
16 seats that at least lean-likely GOP in a neutral year, and 2 tossups in Miami-Dade.
This is one of the better looking Florida maps I've seen. Well done.

Guess I misread DeSantis. I don't think FL05 would be illegal under the FL state constitution but there is a case it is illegal under the Federal constitution.
Even if the FLSC says it's not necessary, that doesn't mean the legislature is going to want to get rid of it. Neither the House nor Senate proposals touch it.

There is no majority black seat in the state. 23 and 24 are black plurality. The light red Jacksonville seat is about 34% black too.
