If we really are going to be moving to a north/South GOP/Dem divide, then the GOP should prepare itself to be locked out of the Presidency for a long time. From an Electoral College perspective, PA, OH, MI, will be losing electoral votes and GA, TX, AZ, and CO will be gaining. It wouldn’t pay to trade TX, AZ, and GA to the Dems so that Republicans can gain NH, ME, WI, MN, and MI.
