I think we already had this thread awhile back, but I said in that one that I will always prefer a two hour plus movie that's a disappointment over eight or more hours of a disappointing season of a TV series that makes everything that came before it feel like a waste.

Obvious Rise of Skywalker is obvious.

Rise of Skywalker was a hot load of confusing garbage, which makes it many, many times better than Season 8.

Star Wars because at least JJ spent the buildup trashing TLJ and saying “f**k it” in interviews when asked about his thought process making the film so we kinda knew going in it would be bad. But D&D were legitimately proud of that bowel movement

Star Wars 9 almost made coherency and character out of a series seriously lacking in such things, shame about the ending though.

GoT 8 was just plain old bad.

Episode 9 did it's best and at the end of the day I'm proud of it for trying.

The less said about GOT the better.

Both franchises were already irreparably damaged before they reached this point.

This, and I didn't even like TLJ myself.

I just want to point out how ironically therapeutic it was to see D&D cameo in that Westworld episode, LITERALLY dismantling a dragon for cash without any regard for its integrity.
