Since 1900
1900: McKinley 1904: Roosevelt 1908: Taft 1912: Roosevelt / Without third parties: Taft, I guess 1916: Undecided (both are pretty good), I guess 1920: Cox 1924: La Follette / Coolidge with some reservations 1928: Smith 1932: FDR 1936: FDR 1940: FDR 1944: FDR 1948: Truman 1952: Eisenhower 1956: Eisenhower 1960: Nixon 1964: LBJ 1968: Nixon 1972: Nixon 1976: Carter 1980: Carter 1984: Reagan 1988: H.W. Bush 1992: H.W. Bush, as my first choice, (first choice would've been Perot if he had not dropped out and remained near the top of the field, ie. had a chance to win) 1996: Perot / Dole, I guess 2000: Bush 2004: Bush 2008: McCain 2012: Johnson / Obama, reluctantly 2016: At the time, I supported a Jill-in-safe-states, Hillary-in-swing-states (including NC) policy (so Hillary). I was at that time more to the left, viewed Trump as the barely worse of the two evils and preferred Jill on policy. Now, with hindsight (thought I still like Jill as a person): Johnson / Trump 2020: Trump
*In some elections I liked 2-4 candidates (including third parties in some cases) and would have then voted based on if I approve of their running mate(s)/if they are a major party candidate/electable.
