Malapportionment, and as bad as gerrymandering is, the courts were correct to shelve it in favor of setting boundaries on this issue first. Rotten boroughs break the very concept of representative democracy and the legitimacy of legislative bodies as vessels for the will of the people.

And remember if Trump gets a third SCOTUS appointment, rotten boroughs have a very good chance of returning.
