At this point, they should just go ahead as scheduled. The fact that DeWine is trying to railroad them at 4pm the day before...

Imagine if the coronavirus had struck 6 weeks earlier, and we were at this stage of the pandemic on Iowa caucus day.

This primary season has exposed in countless, unexpected ways the degree to which we need reform at every level of our electoral system. Nothing will be the same after 2020.

Voting for tomorrow should proceed. Less than a day is far too quick to cancel an election.

Hopefully Uncle Joe wins big time tomorrow and this thing is over. They should then do everything possible to prepare for November. That means more early voting, increased voting by mail and more polling places to reduce the number of people and avoid lines.

The media is irresponsibly reporting that voting has already been postpoined, so at this point if it does go ahead turnout will be abysmal.

Pretty irresponsible of the governor to have voters wondering whether or not the polls will be open the evening prior to an election.

With this statement, the other three SoS have all confirmed that they will continue to hold elections even after Ohio's present attempt to reschedule.

There's some misinformation out there saying the OH delay has been granted already. It hasn't yet, the court is currently hearing the case.

CNN has now updated the story and deleted the incorrect tweets, but they initially reported that the judge had granted the request for postponement.  They left the incorrect tweet up there for about 30 minutes before deleting it and sent push notifications to peoples’ phones with the wrong info.  To add to that, all day they’ve been reporting that the OH GOV had postponed they primary, when in reality he had only requested its postponement.  Its shameful journalism on their part.

How ridiculous of Gov. DeWine to try to postpone it with one day to go. Had he done this on Friday, I would understand, but one day is just not enough time to try to postpone, especially when he can't do it unilaterally. Now nobody knows whether the vote will go on tomorrow or not.

What DeWine pullled is gross incompetence. There simply was not enough time to delay this election (two weeks should be the minimum for announcing an election rescheduling).

These postponements are so dumb. We held elections during the Civil War. This is just setting a bad precedent.

Didn't realize there was a global pandemic that could kill seniors and immunocompromised people during the Civil War.

I hope that the Ohio Supreme Court could rule overnight so that people know what's happening by the morning.

At this point, with all this confusion, I don't think a primary can be held. Understaffed polling sites combined with confused voters would make it a disaster. Better to just postpone and readjust. Hopefully, the Ohio Supreme Court will agree.

There were large parts of WV, KY and MO that reported no results in the 1864 presidential election.  For non-presidential elections, states could pretty much do them whenever they wanted.
