There are conflicting reports right now. 

The major networks started picking up on a report coming from a Brazilian news source that stated he was positive.  But Bolsanaro's son and State reps claimed that the test was, in fact, negative (not that I trust them).

Even considering only political, and not moral issues, this is very good news. The disease would increase his popularity, like the knife attack.

Yes, he is the worst president in Brazil for the history of this country. The generals of the military dictatorship (1964-1985) at least had a national development plan, there was high GDP growth and industrialization (despite the increasing income inequality and political repression). Bolsonaro's administration has no plan. It follows Paulo Guedes's free market fundamentalism and does no more than trying to squeeze the public sector. Since the military dictatorship was supporting development, the public research funding agencies were supported a lot. Bolsonaro's administration has an anti-science bias, so, funding for research agenties are reduced. Bolsonaro is supported by the evangelic right. There was no evangelic right in the 1960s and 1970s, when >90% of Brazil was roman catholic.

Depends on the timing. If it happens now and he duly recovers, no one would care come November. On appropriately later date, yes, that would seal the deal.

As of primaries, if Bernie were to get the virus and quickly recover, I don't think that would've made a lot of difference, delegate-wise. Not at this stage.

The Khmer Rouge was an avowed enemy of America from the beginning, as was Al Qaeda. Please check your facts next time. The only member of the Khmer Rouge the U. S. ever supported was Sihanouk, who was never a real leader of the Khmer Rouge and had defected from the U. S. democratic side only after a coup that objectively established a democracy.
