Espy's ceiling is probably 47. He did slightly better than Hood without much Dixiecrat support. Until the suburbs (DeSoto, Rankin) start to get bluer in any appreciable way, MS is just out of reach. If Rankin County was 60% R instead of 70% R we'd have something to talk about.
