Leaks like this proves that there is no room for progressives in a Biden administration.

A throwback to the Obama years.

Obama is a progressive.

A throwback to Obama's years is a throwback to progressivism.

Today I learnt that Jamie Dimon is a progressive.

https://literarydevices.net/red-herring/

You cannot claim Biden is a progressive while he's considering Jamie Dimon to run the Treasury department. Those two things do not go together.
Uh. He's also considering Warren. Bad logic.

Then at best he's an indecisive weathervane. At worst, he's thinking that if Warren doesn't want to serve as Treasury Secretary for whatever reason, he wants to completely shunt out progressives.

Overall pretty good, though I definitely wouldn't want Dimon at Treasury (I don't know too much about Finecune).

Love it, but I would throw some more former GOPers in there like Condi.

Mostly good but Warren as treasury secretary is a disaster.

She should get CFPB which is what she always wanted, or some sort of new consumer advocacy watchdog czar thing.

So nothing learned from 4 years of Trump. Biden governs as a neoliberal ‘moderate’ democrat and in 2024 or 2028 we found ourselves in the exact same position

lol, people are still selling this narrative.

Voters don't give a sh**t about buzzwords like "neoliberal/moderate". They don't care about policy. Hillary didn't lose because of stuff like that.

You are not the sole arbiter of who is and isn't progressive, whether we're talking about Dimon himself or (even more ridiculously) a candidate whose staff puts Dimon on a list of people who might be offered a job in his administration.

You're right, this is probably a picture too rosy compared to what will happen.

Why anyone would not expect a Cabinet full of Globalists is beyond me.

I'll believe it when Infowars reports on it.

(which is to say, this report is a load of horsesh**t)

He shouldn't be appearing on a Democrat's list at all!

Jamie Dimon at Treasury doesn't make much sense:

1) I'm not sure if he could be confirmed by the Senate, or if he would want to go through the scrutiny that would entail
2) If he would want to leave his position as head of Goldman Sachs to lead the treasury department, which would in all honesty be a step down for him.

Jamie Dimon is head of JPM, not GS. Plus, Hank Paulson went from head of GS to the Treasury.

It doesn't make sense, but neither did the NYT's dual endorsement of Klobuchar and Warren. Establishment Dem thinking is based on corporatism with a fallback to triangulated "populism" where deemed necessary, not logic.
