March 17 should be the final test for Bernie imo. If he somehow comes back beforehand and only loses narrowly, he may have a path going forward (it would have to be a huge Bernie comeback though). If not then a Bernie win would be effectively impossible. And at least then we get one Biden vs Sanders debate.

Hard to see Bernie winning Idaho with these early numbers.

That was a great speech. If this is what Biden is gonna be like, he's in a good position versus Trump.

I'm certain Sanders will drop out at this point. If he doesn't, Obama needs to endorse immediately.

One note on the Washington State results: the first results represent only the vote that was received and counted by 8 pm on election day and nothing else. Meaning a lot of this vote was cast before all the recent dropouts, hence the huge number of other/uncommitted votes. This number will definitely decrease in the coming days as more recent ballots come in.

DDHQ is actually behind NYT in WA right now. But Bernie still leads on NYT by 32 votes at this moment.

Cory Booker is leading Gooding county ID with 6 of 7 precincts reporting. Huh

FDB please explain. What's in this county.

Nothing

Unlikely to be anything other than a data entry error.

I admire that biden isn’t a full fledged socialist like Bernie, but I roll my eyes at his schtick about morality, decency, and national healing.

Where were those characteristics today when he insulted and threatened an American he may be president for next year?

Where were those characteristics when he went into the dirt in 2012 and accused Romney of pretty shocking beliefs, such as wanting to bring slavery back for African Americans?

Where were those characteristics when he continued to falsely claim that the driver who collided with his wife and daughter was drunk, even after the family wrote to the senator and begged him to stop doing that because it was ruining the reputation of their father? That driver went to the grave with a significant portion of American believing him to be a reckless murderous drunk. Can you imagine how awful he must have felt?

These are all normal human failings.  Joe Biden isn't a saint.  He's a normal guy, with a good heart, who's done some selfish and dumb things.  That's a world of difference from Trump who is just actively horrible in every possible way.  It's actually very difficult to think of ways that I could change Trump to make him a worse person.

Clark County Idaho 100% in. Biden and Sanders tied with 3 votes each.

Population? 982.
Still Clinton got (44) votes while Trump romped to a 72-16 Victory... Wink
DDHQ has Klobuchar and Bloomberg at 1 vote each there, so a 100% increase in turnout from the caucus.

Bernie now leading by about 1,500 votes. Very close race there.

Anyway, the fact that Washinton is a tie right now basically is game over for Bernie. Later voters and voters who handed in their ballots on E-Day are going to favor biden by more, pushing him towards that 40-ish percent we say in the polls. A good baseline looking to 2016 is somewhere in 1.75 - 2 Million votes total for this contest.
