Doesn't matter, the vast majority of the time voters will blame the president and their party for whatever crisis occurs regardless whether or not they are to blame for it.

Midterms during Obama yrs were elevated unemployment at7.5 percent from Bush W yrs. Trump lost with 3.5 percent unemployment due failure of tax cuts. 2022 is a blue map with Johnson, Toomey, Grassley and Portman at risk. Also, Dems would have control of redistricting for the first time since 1990 and DC statehood would be allowed without GOP filibuster

I disagree. He may be fairly moderate compared to Sanders, and he may emphasize his commitment to working with Republicans, but Biden's policies (if enacted) would represent the biggest leftward movement this country has seen since the 1960s. I think they would cause a lot of blowback.

Every President is going to have a rough midterm. The best you can do to staunch it is fire up the base like Trump did so you can at least hold onto your core states and not get a result like MArk Kirk winning in Illinois or Larry Hogan winning in Maryland randomly.

Don't kid yourself. Even if pigs fly and Biden actually wins, which won't happen, there isn't a Democrat running who won't lose Congress in a landslide.

In the unlikely event that Biden actually beats Trump, I'm sure this thread will age well...

Biden could go full on Dixiecrat and conservatives would turn out en masse to vote out Dems in 2022. The right wing grifters at FOX, Breitbart, talk radio, ect. have a lot at stake in keeping them worked up and agitated.
