Almost certainly boosts Biden, especially after his SC win.

Or - or, people aren't voting on ideology and his supporters could go either way.

I do expect Biden and Sanders to be the main beneficiaries of his exit at this point, though.  It's too late for Warren.

Buttigieg didn't have much of a chance in the Super Tuesday contests anyway, so he probably saw the writing on the wall. It's a bit crazy that he was able to propel to nearly the top of the presidential field in the first place.

Are we sure that Buttigieg is actually out yet? I haven't seen any reports on this elsewhere.

People who were invested in the Bernie Bro narrative as if that is actually a major issue facing the country I would assume!
[/quote]

No, I think most non-Bernie supporters just found it obnoxious and low key annoying.  You guys were kinda like loud, obnoxious drunks with the "Muh Evulz Ratz" schtick: It was annoying and reflected pretty badly on you guys, for sure, but the general reaction was "just ignore these a**holes and they'll tire themselves out" then anything else tbh.

I would not be surprised if Pete ends up as the next DNC Chair.

Then that benefits Biden as those Bloomberg numbers will go down

He lived and died by his campaign theme.

I'm saddened, but at least it's more votes for Biden. Hoping Pete has a future in politics - could a run in a redistricted IN-01 be in the pipeline?

Most of his statements were essentially political equivalents of "water is wet, the sky is blue".

He went well beyond what anyone else with his profile could have achieved, and I don't think he should walk away with his head hanging in shame. Give him 4-8 years of connecting with people outside of South Bend and I think he'll make a very strong candidate. If Bernie wants to make amends with some of the other wings of the party, maybe he'll consider Buttigieg for a cabinet position.

I had hoped that today would be a good day. Hope is a dangerous thing.

He gets a job in the next administration and changes his residency to Virginia. After a few years, he runs for office in that state.
