He gets a job in the next administration and changes his residency to Virginia. After a few years, he runs for office in that state.

Is it possible he's parachuted into the the Indiana governor's race?

Makes sense, but really sad he won’t even be an option at the time I vote. I guess I’ll move over to Klobuchar, but she probably won’t be a real option in a week. Likely going to end up voting for Biden...

Two days before Super Tuesday seems intentional. Likely trying to give Biden a boost. Not sure if that includes an endorsement.

Did not realise the hate that was embedded within the Atlas ranks against him.

I thought he was young, articulate and most importantly, a 45% better chance of surviving a Corona-virus infection over Biden and Sanders.

Unlikely. Holcomb is a popular incumbent, and Mayor Pete is probably too liberal to win statewide.

Interesting. Totally missed this because I was napping. I thought he was fated to stay in longer, but no matter. This probably benefits Warren the most in the long run. Klobuchar is definitely dropping on Tuesday and despite everything pointing to the contrary, Warren seems determined to keep going. This means Warren is likely to consolidate the 'educated' voters of the suburbs that she was fighting Pete and Amy for. It also probably saves her in MA, which alongside passing the threshold in TX and CA, allows her to make a case for continuing.

If Pete drops out the rules in Iowa say his At Large Delegates are re-apportioned  to other viable candidates (I have not read NH rules yet). If he suspends his campaign I'm not sure how that would be interpreted.

I guess he didn’t feel good about his chances in any ST state. Anyway, probably doesn’t change much for ST, but it might be a slight positive for Biden in certain states. Hard to say for sure.

Thank you, Mayor Pete.

As a gay person in an environment that has a lot of homophobia, seeing a gay candidate winning delegates and even a state in a major party primary in the most powerful nation in the world was amazing. Seeing him hug his husband in front of a huge cheering crowd made me feel more powerful. And God knows that seeing him trigger the homophobes was delicious.

Of course, people will find a way to construct it as another evil move by power-hungry Pete. But that negativity is just unnecessary. I believe that Pete has made the world better, and he made the road for the first LGBT+ President much smoother. I hope he has a bright future yet, hoping he'll get a good job in the next Democratic administration.

UN ambassador would be a pretty good role for him IMO .
