All of this could have been stopped by Trump backing out of running for president in 2016, Comey sending a certain letter, or our timeline's COVID-19 patient zero making a different mundane decision and getting infected (causing Hillary Clinton to lose to Ryan in 2020). Actions can have massive unforeseen consequences.
