The Iranians will find out soon enough what it is like to stir-up trouble while a Republican is in control of the White House.

Hah, one can only hope they have already finished a few nukes before your invasion occurs! Smiley

Well, we only invade countries for having WMD if they don't have WMD.

Carter is a disgrace, an absolute disgrace, to focus on this at a funeral.

Carter claimed to see a UFO, that pretty much describes his credibility.

Good job with the hostages in Iran, Carter. You remain a joke!

Yes, he did do a good job. He got them back alive.

You really should go f--k yourself.  You are totally deluded if you think that one side is automatically better at foreign policy because they hold a conservative stance.

TN2024 is of course a troll, and not really worth taking seriously. But he's actually correct about liberals sucking at foreign policy.

Good thing we had Franklin "the surrender monkey" Roosevelt to surrender to Nazi Germany, fascist Italy, and the Japanese empire.

I don't consider myself a liberal, but it is foolish to think that only conservatives have made good foreign policy decisions.

Oh, and guess what?  The League of Nations might have succeeded had Lodge, Borah, Harding, and other conservatives had not shot it down, essentially making it a weak organization.

i admit, i troll much too often, i don't capitalize and dont punctuate all the time

In real life I am co-president of Young Republicans for my county and a rather nice and swell guy, I am however, very tired of these "Bush is a criminal" type of topics, my responses are legitimate in situations where the basis of the topic is liberal whining. You boys need to suck it up a tad, stop with your criminal talk and your accusations, and go out and sell your own stuff, house to house, get in a good stand up scrap with Republicans and see how you come out in the end. I am an Imperialist, a Conservative, and very Militaristic, I do however respect those opposite of me, often finding they are rather educated and not a limp as they seem, but this petty whining does nothing for you and your cause, go get your platform out and stop this nonsense please.

Carter is a disgrace, an absolute disgrace, to focus on this at a funeral.

At the funeral of a musician you have music.  At the funeral of a poet you have poetry.  At the funeral of a civil activist you have civil activism... Duh?

Few people have cozied up to evil dictators gratuitously the way Carter has

You mean like Pinochet? Oh yeah, he didn't, that was the right wing.

Pinochet was all Kissinger and Nixon.  Sorry man.  Care to try again?

Actually I think he's referring to Carter's recent meetings with Castro to try to broker peace between the U.S. and Cuba, but that is hardly "cozying up."

Correct as usual jfern but it would be hilarious if once they got the intelligence wrong and the defenders nuked the hell out of the invading army! Smiley

(not to mention the Saudi oil facilities - bye bye american empire!)

BRTD, you you like to know whom Jimmy Carter spent New Year's Eve 1978 with?

(scroll down)

The Shah of Iran.  That was very cozy.

In terms of foreign policy, let's face it, Jimmy Carter is not the model President.
